We encourage you to connect with your community leadership program peers! Each CLP is unique, making the network rich in experience, knowledge and creativity. You can find the most updated list of CLP contacts online. If you have any updates, please email those to Maren Berblinger at [email protected].

There are many ways to engage with your CLP peers; regular check-in meetings are scheduled throughout the year to connect CLP peers across the state. Updates, new ideas, calls-to-action, and wellness checks are often the format for these informal and relationship-oriented Zoom meetings.

Kansas CLPs automatically receive 25 free slots annually for registration in any of core leadership path programs – Your Leadership Edge, Lead for Change, Equip to Lead or Avanzando Juntos. These slots are open to current participants in local programs. Typically, a CLP uses Your Leadership Edge as an introduction to or culminating experience to their annual program.

Instructions for registering your class for Your Leadership Edge:

  1. Visit the Your Leadership Edge webpage and select a date for your class to attend.
  2. Share the link with your class and ask them to follow the registration prompts.
  3. Once the participant has reached the checkout step of registration, they will use your CLP promo code to receive 100% off tuition.

We’re so excited to have in-person and virtual programs in 2022! One thing to note that is a bit different this year – we won’t be holding spots for specific programs like we have in the past. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis and individuals will sign up using your CLP promo code.

KLC’s three Intensives (Teach Leadership, Advanced Leadership Development and Leadership Coach) are offered at a discounted rate to CLP teachers and facilitators. Please use the following promo codes: CLPIntensive (ALDI & Teach Intensive), CLPCoachIntensive (Coach Intensive).

CLPs have unlimited access to the KLC Store with the promo code “clp_100” containing class session support materials – worksheets, cartoons, videos, etc. CLPs also receive a 10% discount on book purchases from the KLC Store, including the Your Leadership Edge book and the KLC Guidebook. Please use the code “clp_books” when accessing these resources online. If cost presents a hardship, please let us know.

If you are tax exempt, please email [email protected] to coordinate the order of your materials.

Members of the KLC Field Team and Director of Community Partnerships are available for teaching in programs. Opening retreat ½ day sessions, 90-minute teaching blocks around a specific KLC competency and graduation speakers are the most often requested support. This is especially true for new and re-created programs that are establishing their local teaching team.

Our Director of Community Partnerships is always available via Zoom, email and phone for conversation about program ideas, challenges and opportunities. Racquel has 30 years of experience directing, consulting and teaching in local leadership programs.

A series called Curriculum Conversations occurs twice each year. Members of the KLC Teaching Team host the 90 minute sessions designed to help CLP teachers and facilitators learn new ways to teach the KLC curriculum in their local programs.

Community Discussion Guide: A resource for CLPs from The Journal

Community leadership programs have been using KLC case studies and The Journal magazine in purposeful and impactful ways for several years. We’re now launching discussion guides from The Journal in relation to specific KLC competencies and dimensions.

Have you used a Journal article as a discussion piece during your community leadership program? Provide feedback here!
